Okay, i have a 1994 dodge 3500 Cummins diesel, it's got a fuel issue, it's loping, surging, dying when i drive it down the road at about 45-50 miles an hour it'll bog down and kill itself. normally she fires right up literally the second you turn the key and when it does that it's fine and driveable , but when it cherps a few times before it fires up i know it's not gonna be able to drive it cause thats when i know it has air in it or something. Normally if it sits a while i can drive it a little then when i turn it off and go to start it up later that day it does the thing where it doesn't wanna fire up right. It's not the injectors or the throttle positioning sensor. i just put a new fuel filter on it, and all the lines were just tightened up, could this be caused by the lift pump?, its got 221,000 miles and the injection pumps been turned up. anyone else had this problem or have any ideas what it could be? car insurance.
